Create your own stunning hand embroidered landscape - this workshop is perfect to use up snippets of favourite fabrics, preventing them from going to landfill. You will learn how to - select, layer and piece fabrics together to create the background for your chosen landscape. - build up beautiful details using a range of hand embroidery stitches - learn how to using a variety of threads. By the end of the workshop, you’ll have created your own landscape to frame, turn into a greetings card or use for various projects. If you have a particular landscape you would like to recreate, please bring an image with you. This can be on a phone or other device or printed. This workshop comes with a beautifully curated giftbox so that the creativity can continue after the workshop finishes. Suitable for people of all levels of embroidery experience, from complete beginners to the more accomplished embroiderer. All materials are provided, however if you have particular threads or fabrics you would like to use please feel free to bring them with you. This workshop is held at The Weigh To Shop, 29C Front St, Pity Me, Durham DH1 5EE and is from 2-5pm. The Weigh To Shop will be closed to the public during the workshop, however you are able to browse, but refreshments and other goods. It's like a workshop and private shopping experience in one!
